40 and single, what the…..?

Turning 40, being single, facing challenges and having a new vision

About 02/28/2009

Hello Readers

Why a blog when there are so many?

Well that’s quite easy, I’m not them, I’m me and only I can write about how I am feeling and the every day life of me.

I am a single female.  Raising a daughter, business-lady, unique, strong-minded and a Christian.

I’m also loving, caring, giving, supportive, a true friend, sensitive and I have a great big heart.

Just like you, I face life difficulties daily.  I have a need to express my thoughts, my wishes, my wants and my needs.

Some times people don’t care to hear about your everyday life of ups and downs,  but some do enjoy hearing that I’m struggling but could care less when things seem to be going well.   I feel some of them think I’m looking for failure in their everyday life when I ask just a simple question-”How’s everything?”  Why is this?

My way of speaking or expressing comes across as harsh or straight and direct for some, which sometimes leads to misunderstandings.

Some times people are just too tied up in their everyday situations that they forget that others surrounding them may be going through something as well.  You know I may be self-employed, a home owner, a smile on my face daily, a nice decent vehicle;  but that does not mean Cassandra has it “going on!”

Everyday I find there is no one that I can truly talk to. You know just be me, open, honest.  I would love to just say, “I’m hurting today,” or “I’m so broke,” or “my lights have been turned off,” or “I don’t know what I am going to do if I don’t find a job here soon.”  Instead I find myself covering up what I go through with people who supposedly “love me.”

I thought it would be nice to just write, where others could read and comment and we all just say what ever our heart desires in a “supportive” way.  A place where I could be me, say what is bothering me or why I am happy or what ever is going on with me when ever I want to talk.  A place where I want be interrupted, lied to or have to deal with “fake people.”

What better way to do this:

Cassandrayb’s Blog

Please don’t expect “perfect” editing, I’m not an editor, I just like to write!
